Getting around
**** Transportation to Waikiki • Cab / Taxi – Average travel time is approximately 30 minutes. Fare is approximately $30-45 one-way. Pick-up is on baggage claim level. They are usually queued so waiting is minimal and they will take you directly to your destination. (Uber / Lift are not allowed at the airport). • Airport Shuttles - there are many and they run routinely back and forth all day stopping at several hotels on route – Roberts Hawaii is a popular shuttle bus company here on Oahu. The rate is $16.00 USD/ per person one way and $30.00 USD/ per person round trip. Pay on board. Pick-up is on baggage claim level also. They run about every 15-30 minutes. Google "Roberts Hawaii" for phone and website information. • City Bus - Average travel time is approximately 1-1 ½ hours however large luggage is not allowed on board. Fares are $2.50 one-way (exact cash/coins). Small carry-on bags only. Pay on board. Pick-up on upper level/Ticketing level. Services run about every 15 minutes. Bus routes 19 & 20 will bring you directly into Waikiki to within 50 feet of the property. Make sure when boarding to verify with the driver that the bus is headed to Waikiki. Google "The Bus Honolulu" for phone and website information. • Rental Car - Average travel time is approximately 30 minutes. Best to reserve in advance to get the best rate but know it is expensive and at times difficult to park the car so we do not recommend renting a car for your whole stay especially with the local trolleys running between the favorite spots. Rental cars are available from Waikiki (Honolulu) if you prefer to rent a car only for the few days you plan to travel throughout the island. Be certain to read all posted signs to avoid getting the car towed at the price of $200 plus to get the car back. Save yourself the hassle of the expense, parking / traffic nightmare we often experience when driving in Honolulu. Many of our guests tell us that they never used the car except the get back and forth from the airport and Waikiki. You do not need a car with so many trolleys, taxies, car share, buses & the new Bike share program to get around far cheaper then the cost of renting and parking a car daily.
Offered by Hawaii Dream Realty LLC (RB-19373). Ilikai Hotel 805 Tax Number TA- 059-977-1136-02 and TMK Number 260100070604.
